Month of Love, love yourself first.

This being the Month of Love let’s continue to LOVE yourself fist so that you can love and pour all the love onto everyone else. I heard this phrase yesterday in different contexts and  decided that I will be pouring more LOVE onto everyone I come across.

I started with transforming my body on April 24th, 2014 and it has been a great journey, with this body transformation I have also transformed my mind and soul. A lot of people have asked why I wanted to loose weight since everyone feels that I was ok being the weight that I was. I chose to loose the weight not because I was sick or health problems I chose to loose the weight because I wanted to feel better about me.

For those of you that have tried diets and lost the weight and then gained back more than you lost or those of you that have lost and then just plateaued I understand you. If you could name any diet I have most likely tried it, done it and failed at it. I have chosen Herbalife Nutrition because it works for me and it’s all nutrition, which makes a difference on how you take it. Just as a potato if you fry it and make French fries will be worst than f you bake the potato and eat it with healthy toppings.

I want to continue to better myself and help others in their journey, please tag a friend, a relative or co-worker that you know needs to read this because I want to help.

Starting on a New Path… The road ahead!

I was going to continue with my life changing, Healthier Eating story this month.  Although I have an excellent treat for all of you. The beginnings of great motivation for all of you. From one of the ladies that I have been able teach, touch and INSPIRE!

Angelica’s Story begins like this… “In the beginning of this year I decided to make this the year of “ME”, I know that sounds selfish but in order to be able to be here in the future for my family I had to decide to make changes in my life.  It is so much more convenient to continue to stay in the same routine with no care in the world and just take pills.  But the pills only mask the problem and the problem continues to be a danger to my life.  I just thought how stupid and selfish of me to continue not to care about my own health.  I’m guaranteeing that my kids will not have me around when they are older if I keep going in this direction.  So I decided ok I have to do this, I really have to do this.  Mind you I have been on some sort of diet ALL my life since I was around 8 years old.  Always wanting to be skinnier than I was only because my sisters were so skinny and I wonder why I wasn’t.  In any case I know why I wasn’t, food has always been my crutch.  Any time I feel sad, angry, upset, and happy or I feel like I need to reward myself, it’s always been my crutch turning to food for satisfaction.  Big problem but we won’t tackle that subtext here, suffice it to say that it’s always been a negative relationship with food.  So learning to develop a healthy relationship with food is not an easy road especially when you don’t have time.  Food becomes a matter of convenience and easy fix.  Well back to my point, since I decided this is the year of “ME” I looked to Herbalife Nutrition to kick start my lifestyle change.  I’m not one to actually depend or want to depend on supplements.  This I found though works for my current life style, I have very little time to focus on ME.  I’m a working mom with all the responsibility that comes with the pressure at work and on top not only mom duties, house duties, financial responsibility, but also trying to make sure my kids do not follow my bad eating habits.  There is a lot of pressure when you are trying not to negatively influence the future of your children.  I have found that this program allows me the flexibility to focus on my eating habits as well as maintain my sanity since it is convenient I don’t have to take time away from my kids to do this.  A set of quick and easy shakes, meals, and juices that can be made in no time.  I know that I’m getting the nutrition I need along with limiting my calorie intake so that I can lose the weight.  Remember it is as simple as calories IN need to be less than the calories you burn in a day so that you can lose the weight, burning through what your body has held on to for reserves.  I’m not going to say that it has been easy or that I’m perfect at following the program exactly how it is meant to be, but it has enough flexibility so that those days that you fall prey to bad habits it is ok.  No reason why you should give up, one meal at a time as my health-coach/sister says.

I am surprised daily to see the physical, rational, and positive changes that have occurred in only 7 months.
